Ex-Deputy Speaker Esther Mcheka Chilenje vying for MCP VP

Information reaching faceofmalawi indicates that former first Deputy Speaker, Esther Mcheka Chilenje has expressed interest to contest as Malawi Congress Party (MCP) Vice President for the south.
Mcheka Chilenje is scheduled to face MCP Campaign Director Moses Kunkuyu and other MCP to blasts who are also vying for the same post.
MCP spokesperson Ezekiel Ching’oma has confirmed of the development but could not comment much on the matter.
MCP is scheduled to hold its elective conference in August this year.
The National Governing Council of MCP recently endorsed President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera as its torchbearer in the 2025 polls.
