Woman Accused Of Stealing Beans In Zambia

Mazabuka Magistrate Court in Zambia is accusing a 54-year-old Businesswoman of Choma for allegedly stealling 20 by 25 kilograms of beans worth K20, 000.

Appearing before Senior Resident Magistrate, Edward Chisanga, identified the suspect as Muleya Munkombwe, of Chibbwalu Village in Macha Chiefdom.

According Chisanga, Munkombwe is charged with theft contrary to Section 272 the Penal Code Chapter 87 the Laws of Zambia.

Particulars of the offence are that on 11th November, 2023, Munkombwe, while in Mazabuka’s Magoye Area, did steal the aforementioned merchandise, property of Tapiwa Shanyawabaya.

When the matter came up for plea, Munkombwe denied the charge, with the case adjourned to April 10, 2024, for commencement of trial.
