Police at Bolero in Rumphi District have arrested Giuele Mfune for allegedly killing his friend at a drinking joint in the district.

Spokesperson for Rumphi police, Noel Kamchenga has confirmed the arrest and said the suspect committed the offence 8 December 2015 when he hits his fried identified as Magowa Mtambo twice on the forehead with wood and died after two days.

The suspect has since been charged with murder and he will soon appear before court to answer charges.

Giuele Mfune hails from Tengamapu village Traditional Authority Chilamayembe in the district.
