The mother of Dexter Reed who was shot dead by Chicago police has blasted cops for killing her son.
Reed, 26, was shot dead by police on 21 March 2024 at Garfied Park Neighborhood in the city.
It is being reported that, the deceased was with his friends in a tinted car wearing ski masks when cops stopped them for questions, they refused to comply with the police and rolled his window up. He then allegedly fired at the police first which then forced them to return fire.
Thereafter police fired as many as 96 bullets toward a man during a traffic stop killing Reed.
Meanwhile mother to the deceased Nicole Banks, has demanded criminal charges against the officers, and is calling on the Chicago Police Department to disband tactical units like the one involved in the traffic stop and shooting.
