Brothers in Arms organisation has made a deal to end the problem of homeless children in the street by taking them into their hope centre where they will be rehabilitated, educated and given psycho-social support.

The organisation said, the problem of homeless children in the stress will not come to an end until people stop giving them handouts,

In an interview with the organisation executive director Asante Masanche said, the organisation is committed to deal with this children but they cannot deal with them alone.

Masanche then urged other organisation and of course government to come together and deal with the kids.

“People should stop giving them handouts.

“Handouts makes the street attractive to children. As a result they continue to roam the streets and fall prey to bad-mannered people, who use them to commit various crimes such as robbery”, he said.

Moses Wyson , a former street kid  turned a panel beater through the organisation, said the handouts make street kids comfortable and care less about their future.

The institution started in 2020, with over 150 youth benefiting from them, the aim is to disciple and train the youth so that they are able to create an income without begging on the streets.
