Prophet Shepherd Bushiri has offered a helping hand to Zoe Foundation founder Temweni Chilenga who is also a teacher at Chambu Primary School in Lilongwe.

The development follows Chilenga’s directive that Precious Zamani, a child who was tortured for being caught red-handed stealing maize need to be assessed first before he goes to a high school in order for him to be at the same level with his classmates.

The assessment which was conducted by Temwani Chilenga revealed that Precious can’t read or write anything and he is like a standard 1 learner who has to start from the scratch.

Following the recommendation, the Prophet has advised that Precious should in the meantime remain at Temwani Chilenga’s school until he is at that level where he can read and write before going to any high school in the country.

“Because of that, Precious will be involved in part time classes and he will be learning even during holidays.

“More to that, Prophet Bushiri will assist Chilenga with all the necessary resources at the school including adding in some more teachers to be assisting him with the work at the school,” Gerald Kampanikiza said in the statement.

Bushiri promised to take full responsibility of Precious Zamani and her mother.
