unconfirmed reports reaching this publication indicates that leader of opposition in Parliament Kondwani Nankhumwa has formed his own political party ahead of the 2025 polls.
Inside sources who opted for anonymity told this publication that the party will be called Peoples Development Party (PDP).
But Nankhumwa is yet to comment on the matter.
Recently veteran politician Ken Msonda who is now dying with President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera in Malawi Congress Party (MCP) said Nankhumwa is forming his political party.
In reaction, Nankhumwa described Msonda’s claims as baseless.
