Police in Soche, Blantyre have arrested two men for reportedly trafficking 11 people from Mangochi on their way to South Africa.
Police Publicist for Soche Police, Sergeant Aaron Chilala confirmed of the arrest in an interview with the press.
The suspects were intercepted by the police foot patrol team after being told about the deal.
Police later rescued the 11 trafficked victims between the ages of 18 and 42.
Police investigations show that two suspects arranged and made all the processes of temporary travel documents for all 11 people with the aim of transporting them to South Africa in search of a green pasture.
The suspects are, John Mita aged 32, and Leonard Nkhoma aged 35.
