Former Zambia President Edgar Chagwa Lungu on Tuesday cheered Patriotic Front (PF) member Martin Mbaya who was arrested on Sunday while attending church service.

Mbaya is currently being kept at Kabwata Police unit.

The former President wrote: “I am at KABWATA Police Station to visit one of our party members Mr Martin Mbaya who was brutally arrested while he was attending Church service on Sunday and is still being detained without charge.

“Late United States Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg once said “Freedom is always at risk, We have to be vigilant and preserve it, but it’s worth it.”

Lungu was booted out of power two years ago by President Hakainde Hichilema after ruling the country for five years.
