Former Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Vice President for the South Kondwani Nankhumwa who is also leader of opposition in Parliament is currently in Kenya.

The trip to Kenya comes amid rumours that Nankhumwa is set to unveil his political party ahead of the 2025 polls.

“I am thrilled to inform you that I am currently in Kenya at the invintation of the Kenyan Parliament.

“I have so far engaged with some prominent figures in the Kenyan political landscape among them the Deputy Speaker Sen. Kathuri Murungi, MGH, MP, and Sen. Okongo Omogeni, MP Commissioner Senate,” said Nankhumwa.

He added: “I have also interacted with the Leader of the minority (Leader of Opposition) Justice (RTD) Stewart Madzayo and Senator Mahomed Faki.

“Other esteemed members of the Kenyan Senate I have held discussions with include Sen. Veronica Maina, MP Speaker’s Panel, Sen. Joyce Korir, MP Commissioner, and Sen. Hamida Kibwana, Chair for Kenya Women Senate Association.”
