A 34-year-old man identified as Innocent Mwalwimba in Nkhotakota has been handed 14 years imprisonment by the Nkhunga First Grade Magistrate Court for defiling a 14-year-old girl.
Sub Inspector Micheas Chatsira, State Prosecutor, told the court that the convict took the girl at a school to a trading center and defiled her on their way back.
“The girl shouted for help and was rescued by Good Samaritans who later took the convict to police.
The convict pleaded guilty to the charge.
First Grade Magistrate Kingsley Buleya was the one who passed the sentence.
