Interim President of the newly formed Peoples Development Party (PDP) Kondwani Nankhumwa has said that the party will hold its elective conference in August this year.
Nankhumwa made the announcement during a press conference at Golden Peacock Hotel in Blantyre today.
According to Nankhumwa, all positions in the party including that of the President of the Party is up for grabs.
“Every member of the party will be allowed to contest at any position of his/her wish. I will not in anyway influence the appointment of anyone at any position,” said Nankhumwa.
Meanwhile, Nankhumwa has announced the appointment of Rhodes Msonkho, a journalist from State controlled Malawi Broadcasting Corporation as Acting Publicity Secretary.
