High Court Judge Redson Kapindu has rescheduled Vice President Dr Saulos Chilima’s plea taking to next Friday.

Originally slated for today, the court was expected to provide directions on his case.

However, Chilima’s lawyer, Khumbo Soko, confirmed the court’s decision to postpone the proceedings.

The delay came as a result of a communication from the court, according to Soko.

Chilima is facing charges related to allegedly influencing the awarding of public contracts by purportedly accepting money from a UK-based businessman, Zuneth Sattar.
