Death-trap is probably the term to describe some bridges found in Phalombe district north-east constituency.
The area which is represented by MP Denis Namachekecha in parliament, has a lot of damaged bridges as well as impassable road.
However, residents from swang’oma and other surrounding areas have lamented over the state of bridge which connects Thumbulu village and to Malunguni port where fishing takes place in Lake Chirwa.
Villagers around the area, are now blaming their parliamentarian for not taking into consideration about roads and bridges as people are struggling to use.
