Nigerian actor Yul Edochie has shared his thoughts on Wizkid’s recent social media rant.

On Monday, Wizkid sparked outrage on social media for referring to Don Jazzy, the head of Mavin Records, as a “influencer”.

He also had a heated confrontation with his teammate, Davido.

In an Instagram video, Edochie explained Wizkid’s reaction as the “pain of losing his mother”.

He also stated that society does not provide assistance for individuals who are grieving.

“Many people would not understand what is happening to Wizkid. But I will tell you, it’s the pain of losing his mother,” he said.

“Wizkid is going through the pain of losing his mother. It is a terrible pain. You see that pain of losing a loved one? It is a terrible pain. It is a pain that would make you question God. It is a pain that would make you question life. It is a pain that would make you throw caution to the wind. It is a pain that would make you sometimes want to even take your life.

“It is a pain that would make you sometimes become even disrespectful and just say a lot of things. It is a pain that would even make you question your existence. You lose your mother and you lose your sanity. It is a terrible pain. And that is what is happening to Wizkid.

“Unfortunately, we live in a world that would even give you more pain than love.”
