The High Court in Lilongwe has today formally vacated an injunction that was keeping fired Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) vice-president responsible for the South Kondwani Nankhumwa on the position of Leader of Opposition in Parliament.
The development comes barely days after Nankhumwa announced his resignation from the post of leader of opposition in Parliament.
He also announced that he will instruct his lawyers to withdraw all court cases.
Lawyer for Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Charles Mhango has confirmed of the development, saying the matter was heard in the chambers.
Nankhumwa is currently the interim leader of the Peoples Development Party (PDP) which will be launched soon.
