Police in Chileka have arrested a man who was on the run for allegedly committing felonies in March 2023.
The suspect has been identified as Grievin Chipatangwe, 50 years old.
Spokesperson for Chileka Police, Jonathan Phillipo said the suspect was arrested during a raid operation on the night of May 10, 2024.
“The suspect in March,2023, fled from the scene while his accomplices were caught and are now serving their sentences at Blantyre Prison after being charged with 14 year jail terms on various breaking offences committed within Chileka” said Phillipo.
The suspect has been charged with various offences including burglary and theft and will appear before court soon.
