Last night, Seven Kukoma Ntopwa players were rushed to Ntcheu District Hospital after sustaining injuries in a road accident in Lizulu, Ntche.

The accident occurred when the Ntopwa coaster avoided a head-on collision and hit an ox-cart.

Ntopwa owner Isaac Osman confirmed the incident and stated that the injured players were taken to the hospital.

The team was returning from Lilongwe, where they lost to Ascent Academy 4-0 in the quarter-finals of the 2023 Fam Goshen Women’s Cup.

The extent of the players’ injuries is currently unknown.

Meanwhile, Police are yet to comment on the matter.
