Malawi Police Services have promoted 894 Senior and Junior Officers to their next ranks.
According to a Police communique, of the total figure, 648 officers are Seniors while 252 are Juniors.
Out of the promoted, the list includes,10 Deputy Police Commissioners,10 Assistant Commissioners,11 Senior Superintendents among them.
Ironically during a pass-out parade in Blantyre, President Chakwera spoke on the podium that his Government has promoted more than the listed, suggesting about 450 seniors among them.
