Chatinkha Chidzanja Nkhoma rejoins MCP, vying for SG post

Veteran politician Chatinkha Chidzanja Nkhoma has re-joined the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) ahead of the 2025 polls.
Chidzanja Nkhoma has since shown interest to contest as MCP Secretary General at the party’s elective conference which will be held in August this year.
She faces off the incumbent Eisenhower Mkaka,Simplex Chithyola Banda, Alex Major, Chris Chaima Banda and Albert Mbawala.
Chidzanja Nkhoma resigned from MCP in 2028.
Her resignation attracted debate on social media following a video where she was scene burning MCP regalia.
