Deputy Minister of Local Government, Unity, and Culture Owen Chomanika has urged chiefs in the country to refrain from corrupt activities when discharging their duties.

Speaking during the installation of Mervin Chimwanga as the seventh Traditional Authority Kapichi in Thyolo district, Chomanika emphasized that corruption hinders development progress

Meanwhile, Thyolo District Commissioner Hudson Kuphanga observed that following the death of TA Kachipichi 6, development progress had stagnated due to the absence of leadership in the area.
