Information reaching this publication indicates that known thief has been burnt to death in Machinjiri Township in Blantyre.
The incident happened last night in the area of Chief Mantchombe.
According to an eye witness, the suspect now deceased together with his colleague were caught red-handed stealing in the house of a certain family in the area.
The owner of the house shouted for help and well-wishers responded positively and managed to apprehend one suspect while the other one managed to escape from the scene.
The angry villagers descended of the thief and torched him to death.
The law enforcers are yet to comment on the matter.
