The Malawi Communication Regulatory Authority (MACRA) today has launched the construction of an Information Communication and Technology laboratory at Lodjwa Community Day Secondary school in Kasungu north.
MACRA Deputy Director for Broadcasting, Kelton Masangano said the ICT labs in schools is aimed at increasing access to internet in rural areas.
“Schools are being targeted in the first phase and will have fully fledged computer lab with 60 computer and unlimited wifi” said Masangano.
Member of Parliament for the area, Mike Bango praised the initiative which he says will connect leaners to the world of Information and internet.
