18 people arrested for committing various crimes in Balaka

Police in Balaka have arrested 18 people for committing various crimes following the intelligence driven exercise which the department is conducting in the district
Public relation officer for Balaka police, Gladson M’bumpha confirmed the development saying during the intelligence driven exercise, the police arrested two for robbery with violence, two for burglary and theft, three for unlawful wounding, two for affray, one found in possession of Chamba. Two for fraud other than false pretence, five for idle and disorderly and one for grievous harm.
The intelligence driven exercise took place in Mponda, Mangerengere, Khwisa, Matola, Andiamol and Balaka Township where the suspects hails
The suspects age ranges are from 18 to 38 years.
The suspects will soon appear before court to answer charges against them.
