Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Masauko Chamkakala is this morning appearing before the Legal Affairs Committee of Parliament over the recent discontinuance of a corruption case involving State Vice President Dr. Saulos Chilima.

Chamkakala is scheduled to explain to the Legal Affairs of Parliament the reason behind the dropping of the case.

Chairperson of the committee Peter Dimba has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.

Dimba said that the DPP is appearing before the committee in accordance with Section 101 (2) of the constitution of Malawi.
