The Ministry of Education has allowed about 17 learners at Chawe Primary school in Chiradzulu to sit for the same despite their teacher allegedly misappropriating their examination fees.

The examinations started today in all primary schools in the country

The ministry’s principal secretary responsible for basic education, Racheal Chimbwete Phiri has confirmed the development, saying this has been agreed upon during an engagement between the Ministry and MANEB officials.

However, Chimbwete did not disclosed who will foot the learners examination fees between the Ministry and MANEB.

Meanwhile, a Magistrate Court in Chiradzulu is on the 27th of this month expected to continue hearing a case involving, Daniel Williams, the teacher who has allegedly swindled the learners’ money amounting to K67, 150 meant for the their examination fees.
