The court in Mponela, Dowa has fined Sainani Nkhoma MK200, 000 or serve a six months jail sentence for allegedly insulting President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera.
Two weeks ago posted an insulting message to President Chakwera on a WhatsApp forum called Mponera Hotspot.
This did not go down well with some members at the group who reported Nkhoma to Police hence his arrest.
Presiding Judge Talakwanji M’ndala said he has handed M’ndala a stiffer punishment to deter others who will be offenders.
Meanwhile, M’ndala has paid the finer.
