American female musician Nicki Minaj was arrested by police at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport on Saturday, in Netherlands.

The Dutch Military Police, in a statement, said a 41-year-old woman was arrested for trying to leave the country while in “possession of soft drugs, which is prohibited.”

Earlier, the 12-time Grammy nominee posted a video to Instagram Live showing her discussing the arrest with an Amsterdam police officer. The officer stated she was being detained “because you’re carrying drugs” when she asked for the reason behind her arrest.

Following her arrest, Nick forced herself to postpone a concert on her “Pink Friday 2 World Tour” in Manchester, England.

Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj has apologized to her fans following her 6 hours arrest and release in the Netherlands.

Nick made a post on X read: “Thank you everyone who prayed for me today, May God cover you and all that is connected to you. May you be blessed beyond your imagination. Please Please please accept my deepest & most sincere apologies, they sure did know how to hurt me today but this too shall pass”.
