Football Association of Malawi has appointed FCB Nyasa Big Bullets head coach, Callisto Pasuwa, to lead Malawi National Football under 23 team to COSAFA Senior Challenge this year in Durban, South Africa
The development has come after the team’s engagements in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers next month which will collide with the regional tournament and Malawi has decided to send their Under 23 team to the tournament.
FAM General Secretary Alfred Gunda confirmed Pasuwa’s appointment saying Pasuwa has been appointed to take charge of the under 23 team while FAM will be busy focusing on senior team as they are participating in 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Meanwhile, the Zimbabwean tactician is set to make a call up for the players he is to travel with as the senior team also camps ahead of their games early next month.
