Some of the representatives of 1380 Israel Job seekers have presented a petition to the newly appointed leader of opposition in Parliament Dr. George Chaponda seeking his intervention on the secret labour deal which government signed with the government of Israel.

The petition comes barely weeks after some farm workers from Malawi were deported in Israel for abandoning their work.

Chaponda has confirmed of the development in a statement posted on his official facebook page seen by this publication.

“Most of them borrowed money to process travel documents after their recruitment by agencies some months ago.

“I have assured them of my intervention since they have tried several channels of negotiations,” wrote Chaponda.

Effort to talk to Minister of Information and Digitalization Moses Kunkuyu proved futile.
