The humanitarian organization, Gift of the Givers has announced a strategic partnership with the government to support agricultural development and improving the livelihoods of farmers in the country.
The deal aimed at equipping Sesame farmers with the necessary expertise and strategies to enhance profitability and reduce poverty.
Speaking during the ground breaking event in Chikwawa district, gift of givers Manager Sherifa Mia emphasized that the organization has embarked on the ambitious project to construct two warehouses in Chamanga and Saopa Villages of T/A Ngabu in Chikwawa in collaboration with Japanese Corporations and Takamoto Oil.
“These facilities are designed to provide sesame farmers with secure storage for their yields and facilitate connections to international markets, thereby protecting them from exploitation by local vendors” Mia said.
