Three people have been injured after a lorry carrying sugar case overturned at Makande turn-Off along Midima road.
According to a driver Given Simenti, a lorry was coming from Mulanje District to Blantyre, upon reaching at Makande turn-off, one of the back tyres lost its nuts, causing the rim to break off from the lorry as a result the lorry lost its balance and overturned.
“We thank God for saving our lives today, lucky enough we were both putting on our seatbelts on” he said
Meanwhile, people who are helping the driver to offload the sugarcane are equally quenching their thirst from the stuff and the two passengers have since been taken to Nguludi Hospital for check-up.
