In Zambia, A 13-year-old boy has been arrested by the police in Chinsali for allegedly defiling his 2-year-old step sister.
Deputy Commanding Officer at Muchinga Province Police, Ronald Zambo, has confirmed the arrest and said the incident happened on Tuesday around 19:00 Hours.
The victim reportedly sustained bruises on her private parts which were noticed by the mother when she was changing diapers the following day.
According to alleged facts, the victim was at her grandparents’ home after school, where she is usually kept until her mother picks her up.
Around 7:00 PM last Tuesday, the suspect, her step brother, took her to their mother.
However, upon arrival at their home, he dropped the victim and returned to their Grandmother’s place.
He is suspected to have allegedly had carnal knowledge of the victim before dropping her home.
The social welfare office has also been informed, and further investigations are underway while the suspected juvenile expected to appear in court soon.
