A 50 year old man in Nthisi known as Duncan Yohane has committed suicide over debt of K1 million which he borrowed from different people.
Ntchisi police spokesperson Salomy Zgambo, said the late man’s wife told them that on Wednesday her husband just went out of his house.
“The wife thought that her husband went to toilet but he was surprised that he never returned” said Zgambo.
Zgambo also said that Yohane’s wife told the family of her husband about the missing of her husband and they started looking for him. And they found him hanging in a tree near stream.
Hospital report shows that Yohane dead due to suffocation.
