A motorcycle rider has died after crashing into a Scania lorry at Kamuzu International Airport turn-off, closer to Total Filling Station entrance at Lumbadzi.
According to Lumbadzi Police publicist, Felix Kwinyani, The victim identified as Innocent Madziayenda has sustained head injuries and open fracture on the right leg and was pronounced dead upon arrival at Blessings Hospital in the same area.
Meanwhile, a driver of the truck, Allan Menasi, is currently in police custody waiting for paper work.
Madziayenda hailed from Binala Village, Traditional authority Chitukula in Lilongwe.
