The Super League of Malawi (SULOM) has strongly condemned the acts of violence that occurred during yesterday’s match between FCB Nyasa Big Bullets and Silver Strikers at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.
SULOM has made the sentiments on its Facebook page saying the stoning incident that took place is unacceptable and goes against the spirit of sportsmanship and the values that we uphold in the league
We would like to assure all stakeholders including players, fans and officials that the Super League of Malawi will not tolerate such behavior.
Bullets fans, started doing the unthinkable behavior after Chinsisi Maonga for Silver Strikers scored against Bullets leading the game to end at 1 nil favoring the bankers,
However, after the defeat, Bullets fan had to break wind glass for Silver striker’s bus and flatted Bullets’ bus tire.
Meanwhile SULOM has confirmed that appropriate disciplinary action will be taken against those responsible in accordance with all applicable rules and regulations.
