As one way of motivating the girl child education in schools, Private School Association of Malawi (Prisam) President, Ernest Kaonga has pledged K5 million reward to top five performers to motivate girls who are writing this year’s Junior Certificate of Education {JCE} examinations.
Speaking in an interview, Managing Director Ernest Kaonga, said the offer is for both private and public students to complement government’s effort of promoting girl child education.
“What I am looking for are top 5 girls and they will smile for their work with each getting K1 million because we want to motivate these students because it is our aim to see them scoring highly during examination” he says.
Kaonga previously, also decorated Form 4 and Standard 8 top performers by offering scholarships and cash.
