Police in Mchinji is keeping in custody two men for district for smuggling 25 Ethiopian citizens from the Dzaleka refugee camp in Dowa district.
The two, have been identified as Golden Enock aged 41 and Davie Botomani 35.
Public relations officer for Mchinji Police Limbani Mpinganjira, has confirmed the arrest and said Police arrest the two with other 25 Ethiopia Nationals when they were traveling to Mozambique without proper documents.
According to Mpinganjira, some of the Ethiopian citizens are 48-year-old Tezazu Erinyanda and 29-year-old Peere Watumo, as well as 23 other citizens between the ages of 15 and 18.
The police in the state are also detaining these citizens and they will appear in court soon.
