Earlier today High Court in Lilongwe continued hearing a case in which two Rwandese nationals are accused of killing their fellow national Habimana Noel Emily, who was a Lilongwe based businessman, in October 2022.

The suspects are the deceased’s ex-wife Gilamata Gentile and Rafiki Munyamagaju, who was driver to the deceased.

Joseph Banda, who is a data entry clerk at Kamuzu Central Hospital casualty department and Andrew Master Mwale a senior clinician at KCH’s mortuary department were lined up to undergo examination cross examination and re-examination.

Banda underwent examination, cross-examination and re-examination but Mwale’s turn was halted following an observation of missing document by the defence.

“In the company of other people (at least 4) Gentile went to KCH with the body of Emily in the early morning of October 17 2022” said Banda.

He also said that he was involved in a road accident and was referred to KCH by Daeyang hospital the city.

Banda told the court that Gentile did not produce a referral latter from the said hospital.

He revealed that doctors indicated that Emily was brought in dead to the facility.

Justine Bruno Kalemba has adjourned the case to Wednesday next week to allow the state to furnish the court with the missing document.
