The Centre for Alternatives for Victimized Women and Children (CAVWOC) reports that many people are subjected to various forms of gender-based violence but are unaware of how and where to report it.

CAVWOC’s Reducing Poverty and Inequality in Malawi Project Officer in Phalombe, Racheal Moyo emphasizes the need for people to recognize and report all forms of gender-based violence.

CAVWOC held an interface meeting with stakeholders to educate the public on the importance of identifying and reporting gender based violence cases.

Traditional Authority Phweremwe praised the initiative, noting that the knowledge gained from the meeting would help reduce gender-based violence.
