Residents within Mangochi obtains a court injunction stopping construction of road within the council

Some residents within Mangochi Council Business area have obtained a court injunction stopping construction of roads within council.

Mangochi Chief Executive Officer Ernest Kadzokoya confirmed the development, saying the concerned people want to be compensated first.

“The council is challenging the injunction on the basis that the structures which the concerned people seek compensation for were built within road reserve areas.

He concluded that the council will continue with the construction works: saying that the people who are complaining are located in areas where the roads was already completed.
