Angry villagers from Traditional Authority Tengani in Nsanje have beaten to death a 33 year old man who was caught red-handed stealing goats in the area.
Nsanje Police spokesperson Agnes Zalakoma has confirmed of the development and identified the suspect now deceased as Kingsley Mapote.
According to Zalakoma, the deceased is suspected to have committed the offence on the night of 5 and 6 June, 2024.
Zalakoma has since said told this publication that the law enforcers have launched in investigation on the matter.
