Number of people who have died in a road accident after a minibus they were travelling in overturned at Chiweta Hills in Rumphi yesterday has increased from five to seven.

According to District Police Spokesperson Sub Inspector Noel Kamchenga the two more people died last night while receiving treatment at Rumphi district hospital.

Meanwhile police emphasizes thata minibus, was travelling from Karonga to Mzuzu direction and had 18 passengers on board.

Other passengers sustained minor injuries and were referred to Jalawe Health Centre where they were treated as outpatients.
