Fifa President Gianni Infantino on Thursday visited the widow of Vice-President Saulos Chilima, Mary Chilima.
Infantino, who came in the country to tour Fifa sponsored projects, was scheduled to meet late Chilima today.
He has since presented a Fifa branded football jersey, written SKC, standing for Saulos Klaus Chilima.
Football Association of Malawi (FAM) president Fleetwood Haiya disclosed that the jersey was initially planned to be a present to the late Vice-President.
Said Haiya: “As we know that he was scheduled to meet the departed Vice- President, he had a present which he thinks that he doesn’t need to go back home with. He will now present that to you madam.”
