The Vice President Saulos Klaus Chilima has been laid to rest in Nsipe, Ntcheu, his hometown.
The event was attended by a multitude of people from across Malawi and abroad to pay their last respects to the Vice President.
President of Malawi Lazarus Chakwera and Madam Monica Chakwera led the somber ceremony.
Former Presidents of Malawi, Peter Mutharika, Joyce Banda, and Bakili Muluzi, attended the event along with other top officials from government, the private sector, political parties and etc.
Chilima died last Monday along with 8 others after the plane they were in crashed at Chikangawa, killing everyone on board.
The other 8 bodies were already laid to rest last week.
May the souls of Saulos Chilima and the 8 others who died in the plane crash rest in peace.
