A 23 Year Old Woman of Chingola’s Kabundi area in Zambia has died after being stabbed by her boyfriend.
Copperbelt Province Police Commanding Officer Peacewell Mweemba has confirmed the incident and identified the deceased as Mubanga Kangwa.
Mubanga mate her fate on Saturday June 15th 2024 at around 20:45hours along Ntanda Street in Kabundi East.
According Mr Mweemba, the Suspect identified as King Katanga of Soweto area visited his girlfriend and after sometime, the two left the house with the view of escorting the boyfriend and on their way, they had an argument which resulted in the victim being Stabbed Multiple times.
He says the Victime shouted for help and the Neighbours rushed to the scene and found her lying on the ground with cuts on the both hands, left leg and multiple deep cuts on the stomach with protruding intestines.
Mr Mweemba says the Deceased was rushed to Kabundi Clinic and was later referred to Nchanga North General hospital where she was admitted in the intensive Care Unit ICU and was pronounced dead yesterday at around 03:30hours.
He says Police rushed to the hospital and discovered that the victim had stab wounds on both hands and on the stomach with protruding intestines as a sharp instrument is allegedly to have been used to inflict the injuries.
The Commissioner says the Suspect identified who was on the run has since been apprehended.
