Police in Lilongwe are keeping in custody 14 men on suspicion that they were stealing properties in different guest houses in the district.
According to Lilongwe police spokesperson Hastings Chigalu, the suspects were pretending to be the customers and book the rooms later they stole different items and rape women
Chigalu said that, they have now managed to find 14 plasma screens stolen from 5 guest houses and the money worth K120 million.
The suspects are Chisomo paul, Bleesings Banda, Callos Chipeta, Patrick Phade, Kelvin Chirwa, Lajab Chisankho, Alex Mponya, Tobias Sendeza, Alfred Phiri, Sylvester Mponya, Gift Singano, Gift Phiri, Masautso Mandala and Stafford Domingo.
The suspects will soon appear before court to answer the charges levelled against them.
