US-BASED MALAWIAN DONATES FOOD ITEMS TO 100 HOUSEHOLDS IN THYOLO

A US-based Malawian, William Thumba, has today donated assorted food items to 100 less-privileged people in the Mikolongwe area of Thyolo as part of celebrating his birthday.
Thumba was excited to share the birthday celebration gifts from his American friends because many people in the area are yet to recover from El-Nino and cyclone Freddy crisis
He further suggested the establishment of cooperatives in rural areas so that can help to drive the Mega farm initiatives, hence promoting food secure in the country
Village headman Kalimbuka and one of the beneficiaries, Calista Solomoni, lauded the gesture.
