The Agricultural Development and Marketing Cooperation (ADMARC) has raised the maize purchase price from 650 Kwacha per kg to 700 Kwacha per kg.
In a letter dated June 19, 2024, and signed by director of operations Fredrick Nyongani, it was detailed that the unit market purchase price for maize will now be 700 Kwacha per kg, while the depot bulk purchase price will be 720 Kwacha per kg.
ADMARC anticipates that this adjustment will boost maize purchases at all depots, with the new prices effective immediately.
