Police in Nkhotakota are investigating the death of Alistair Tough, a 71-year-old British national found deceased in his lodge room.
The discovery was made after the lodge owner was alerted by Tough’s wife, who couldn’t reach him by phone and found his room locked.
Authorities, including Nkhotakota Police Station Public Relations Officer Paul Malimwe, confirmed the incident, noting that the cause of death remains undetermined.
The deceased’s wife raised the alarm when she was unable to contact her husband and became concerned about his well-being.
A thorough investigation is underway to establish the circumstances leading to Tough’s death at the lodge in Nkhotakota.
